Une randonnée plus intimiste sur un itinéraire également parcouru par Charles de Foucauld comme Laperrine en témoigne dans ses notes et souvenirs, mais qui emprunte des sentiers peu connus et donc moins fréquentés.
Ce parcours conviendra bien à celles et ceux qui souhaitent plus de solitude saharienne.
Partant de Tamanrasset, l’objectif de la randonnée est également l’Assekrem et offre toujours un paysage d’éboulis et de volcans avec à la fin des petits hameaux traditionnels imuhar.

Lorsqu’il se déplacait entre Tamanrasset et son premier ermitage à Beni Abbes le prêtre C. de Foucauld ne passait pas
par la Transaharienne !
Nous avons redécouvert son itinéraire principal à la lecture attentive de ses Carnets et c’est ce parcours que nous vous proposons de suivre.
La première partie suit un itinéraire intimiste et hors pistes, la deuxième partie traverse la route des oasis.
Le voyage commence à Tamanrasset et se termine à Beni Abbes.
Au menu, l’Assekrem, la Frégate à Guet el Oued, la traversée de l’Ahnet, du Touat avec Reggane, Adrar et les petits villages dominant les palmeraies et le grand erg oriental, Timimoun et enfin l’ermitage de Beni Abbes.
